Clinical Supervision

I am an Integrative Counsellor & Clinical Supervisor (completing training hours) working with both adults and children aged 7+. I have been working therapeutically with adults and children for over 17 years.

Background

I am an nature lover at heart and have spent over 20 years caring for our natural environment, engaging communities in nature conservation and the arts, teaching and mentoring adults and children through volunteering, education, Art and writing.  I qualified as a child care professional and Forest School Leader and set up and ran two Forest Schools for 10 years, working primarily with SEN and those struggling to stay in school,  nurturing and developing confidence through the outdoor environment.

I presently run my own private practice , working with low mood, depression, anxiety, self harm, suicide ideation, grief and loss, OCD, ADHD, addiction, illness, trauma, relationship and family problems as well as those struggling to navigate neurodiversity.

Therapeutically, in the past, I have worked at Open Doors and Cancer Support with adults providing counselling for those struggling with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma and abuse and supporting those affected by cancer.

Working therapeutically with children, I have worked at Noah's Ark Centre running a Rainbows International programme, and with SELFA children's charity providing therapeutic support to children (SEND and those struggling to stay in school) and families, working individually and running parent support programmes.

I love to connect with and support people to open up, develop self awareness, grow and become empowered in their lives, and I combine my broad skills and experience into my therapeutic practice to support you in achieving this.

Supervision approach

It is important to me to work relationally and collaboratively with both my clients and supervises.

Within my practice I work both intuitively and theoretically to support your work as a supervisee.  I support supervisees to feel held, confident and safe through the different stages of growth of their counselling practice.

Working collaboratively we explore issues and concerns, overcome challenges and find ways forward whilst encouraging further learning and growth as a therapist as needed.

I work in a structured professional approach using the seven eyed model which helps me as a supervisor to view supervisees work from many different angles. Thinking both creatively and practically about the use of interventions and in understanding your clients allows us to ensure that your clients and you are supported in the best way possible.
